Local tows start at $95 base with $4 per mile after the first 10 miles. Flatbed tows start at $125. Long-distance is quoted as a fixed per-mile price before dispatch. You hear the total before any truck rolls a wheel.

Roadside services (jump start, flat tire change, fuel delivery, lockout) start at $65. Most visits finish in under 20 minutes. Fuel is billed at pump price on top of the service call.

Do you charge extra for nights, weekends, or holidays?

No. There is no after-hours markup. The same rate applies at 3 a.m. on New Year’s Day as at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday. That is the whole point of being a 24/7 operation.

Our Metro Detroit average is 30 minutes. In Ypsilanti and along I-94 in Washtenaw County, it is often under 20 minutes. Mid-Michigan and outlying Livingston/Jackson calls run 40-60 minutes. The exact ETA depends on which truck is nearest.

Do you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We are dispatched through HONK and Agero (Swoop), and we work directly with every major insurer under Michigan no-fault. Keep your claim number handy when you call so we can document the job for your adjuster.

Do you carry enough insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Prime O Towing carries commercial general liability and commercial auto coverage on every truck in service. Your vehicle is fully insured from the moment it is loaded until it is delivered. We do not publicly disclose coverage amounts, but we will provide a certificate of insurance directly to any customer or insurer on request.

We are light-duty specialists: sedans, SUVs, pickups, luxury cars, EVs, AWD vehicles, and classic restorations. We do not currently tow heavy-duty commercial trucks or motorcycles. For AWD, EV, and luxury vehicles we use the flatbed to keep all four wheels off the ground.

Yes. Our flatbed is a 19 ft hydraulic deck that handles AWD drivetrains, low-clearance exotics, classic cars, and vehicles damaged from an accident. Flatbed service starts at $125.

I’ve just been in an accident. What do I do first?

Accepted Answer

Check for injuries and move to safety if you can. Call 911 if anyone is hurt. Then call us — we stabilize the scene, clean debris, contain fluid leaks, and tow to your body shop or storage yard of choice. We document everything for your insurance claim.

Will you meet the police at an accident scene?

Yes. We coordinate directly with Michigan State Police and local police departments on accident recoveries. Give them our number if they ask who you are using.
